Electrical Panel Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Panel Technician to join our team in Hammond. This role involves building, wiring, and troubleshooting electrical control panels. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of electrical principles, wiring diagrams, control components, and motor/blower systems. This is a hands-on electrical controls role and does not focus on automation or PLC programming.

Responsibilities

• Build and wire electrical control panels
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Lay out and install control box components
• Wire contactors, limit switches, and other controls
• Wire and troubleshoot motors, blower fans, and related equipment
• Test and troubleshoot electrical control systems
• Ensure accurate, neat, and safe panel wiring

Qualifications

• Hands-on electrical panel wiring experience
• Strong understanding of electrical principles
• Ability to read wiring diagrams/schematics
• Experience with contactors, limit controls, and motor wiring
• Electrical troubleshooting experience
• Controls/electronics background
• PLC/automation experience is not required

Compensation

Pay: $28–$30 per hour
