Senior Electrical Engineer P,.E. – San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
Seeking Electrical Engineers to join our Team. This person will have experience with engineering consulting firms, electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and building systems for Healthcare an Commercial buildings; with proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or higher)
- 10+ years' experience in MEP design/consulting
- PE License Desired
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices relevant to mission critical and healthcare environments.
- Team leadership/management experience
- Project Management Experience in the MEP space
- Healthcare building design and HCAI compliance experience
- Proficient in Revit & AutoCAD
- High-energy client services skills
- Excellent communication ability
- Complete understanding of building codes
- Thorough design system knowledge
- PMP Certification; LEED Accreditation – Preferred, Not Required
Duties
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems including power distribution, emergency and standby power (UPS, generators), lighting, fire alarm, and telecom systems for mission critical healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities.
- Conduct load calculations, short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and develop protective device coordination using tools such as SKM or ETAP.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA 70E, and relevant healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and construction managers, to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
- Oversee the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
- Participate in client meetings, site surveys, and construction administration activities to ensure project requirements are met.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices within the electrical engineering team.
