This role is responsible for leading the electrical preconstruction process from conceptual estimating through design development and turnover to operations. The Electrical Preconstruction Manager will collaborate closely with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and internal project teams to develop accurate budgets, identify project risks, and drive strategic planning for complex commercial and industrial construction projects.The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead teams through fast‑paced preconstruction efforts while balancing cost, schedule, constructability, and client expectations.This role supports a variety of project types, including mission‑critical, manufacturing, healthcare, commercial, and industrial facilities.Responsibilities Lead electrical estimating and preconstruction efforts through all phases of design developmentPrepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP electrical estimates including detailed clarifications and scope analysisEvaluate drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify risks, gaps, constructability concerns, and value engineering opportunitiesDevelop and maintain electrical preconstruction schedules, procurement strategies, and budget updates throughout the design processCollaborate with project executives, operations teams, architects, engineers, and owners to align project goals and expectationsParticipate in project strategy discussions to support successful project pursuits and client presentationsLead electrical subcontractor outreach, bid solicitation, scope reviews, leveling, and buyout activitiesAssist with contract negotiations and support project turnover to operations teamsEnsure compliance with project budgets and provide creative solutions to address cost or scope challengesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, owners, architects, and engineersSupport constructability reviews and coordination efforts to improve project execution and minimize riskMentor and support development of junior estimating and preconstruction team membersOther duties as assignedSkills and Experience – Required 8+ years of experience in electrical estimating, preconstruction, or construction operationsStrong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, materials, and pricingExperience developing conceptual and detailed estimates across multiple phases of designExceptional communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environmentExperience collaborating with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal operations teamsKnowledge of estimating software, project management tools, and industry standardsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experiencePreferred Previous field or operations experience supporting commercial or industrial construction projectsExperience with mission‑critical, manufacturing, healthcare, or industrial facilitiesExperience leading teams through preconstruction and estimating processesFamiliarity with BIM/VDC coordination and integrated project delivery methodsAbility to recognize project risks early and proactively develop solutionsBenefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible PTO, 10 paid holidays per year, life and AD&D, short and long‑term disability coverage, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.Career development and professional growth opportunities.A collaborative and inclusive workplace culture rooted in our core values.AAP/EEO Statement PARIC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Affirmative Action employer.
