Electrical Preconstruction Specialist

Job Summary:

The Pre-Construction Specialist is responsible for independently managing portions of the pre-construction process. This includes developing cost estimates, coordinating subcontractor input, and contributing to planning and scheduling efforts for multiple projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for various stages of design (conceptual through GMP).
• Familiar with and able to perform basic constructability reviews and offer design-phase insights.
• Coordinate and solicit subcontractor/vendor pricing.
• Assist in creating project schedules and phasing strategies.
• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to align scope, schedule, and budget.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred but not required
• 2–5 years of experience in estimating or pre-construction roles.
• Proficiency with estimating and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and sequences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Basic Proficiency in English required. Candidates must have a basic understanding of English for safety purposes and to effectively communicate with colleagues, vendors, and contractors on-site. The ability to follow instructions and engage with the team is essential for success in this role.
