ELECTRICAL PRINCIPAL DESIGNER – Greenville, SC
Location: Greenville, SC
Duration: 1 Year with renewal options

JOB SUMMARY:
The Electrical Principal Designer provides advanced technical design expertise and leadership for complex electrical projects. This role serves as an Area Lead Designer or senior-level designer responsible for overseeing design activities, ensuring technical accuracy, and supporting project execution across all phases.
The position performs advanced design assignments and provides guidance and oversight to other designers within a multi-discipline environment.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Electrical Principal Designer leads the development and execution of complex electrical design work in alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing detailed design deliverables using 3D modeling and 2D CADD tools. The role ensures design quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
The designer coordinates with engineering disciplines, project management, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to resolve technical design issues and support project progress.
Additional responsibilities include performing material take-offs, supporting procurement activities through review of vendor submittals, and assisting with construction by responding to RFIs and implementing field changes.
The position also provides leadership, mentorship, and supervision to junior designers while supporting project execution related to scope, cost, and schedule.
WORK HOURS:
A standard 40-hour work week is expected. Additional schedule details will be provided by the client. Overtime may be required to meet project deliverables.
