Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Electrical Product Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate provides on-site engineering support to resolve electrical wiring and quality issues, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve vehicle quality and customer satisfaction.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Electrical Product Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Provide on-site engineering support to troubleshoot and resolve electrical wiring (EDS) and vehicle quality issues within the assembly plant.

• Analyze warranty claims, plant metrics, and vehicle data to identify emerging concerns and drive root cause investigations.

• Lead cross-functional teams in implementing containment and corrective actions to improve product quality and reduce defects.

• Prepare and present structured problem-solving reports (8D, 5 Why, A3, Fishbone) to support quality reviews and issue resolution.

• Facilitate vehicle diagnostics, testing, and quality audits to ensure compliance with manufacturing and customer requirements.

• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Product Development, and Quality teams to support product launches, design changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (master's degree preferred).

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Development, Quality, Program, or Manufacturing Engineering within the automotive industry.

• Strong expertise in Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS), wiring diagnostics, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, utilize quality tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone), and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
