We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for planning, execution, financial performance, contract administration, and successful project delivery while providing leadership and mentorship to Assistant Project Managers. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent organizational, financial, and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and is committed to delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple electrical commercial and industrial construction projects from project turnover through closeout.
Lead and mentor Assistant Project Managers while providing daily oversight and support.
Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, manpower plans, and financial forecasts.
Monitor project costs, productivity, profitability, and overall performance.
Lead project turnover, progress, coordination, and closeout meetings.
Review and negotiate contracts, subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and change orders.
Coordinate with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure project success.
Oversee procurement, submittals, equipment deliveries, and project documentation.
Ensure timely billing, requisitions, invoicing, and cash flow management.
Maintain compliance with company procedures, OSHA regulations, and client requirements.
Oversee project closeout documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, operation & maintenance manuals, and final project records.
Support continuous improvement by implementing project management best practices and standard operating procedures.
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to work in both office and active construction site environments.
Attend project meetings and conduct regular site visits as required.
Ability to travel to project locations.
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible project management experience in electrical commercial or industrial construction.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing Project Managers or Assistant Project Managers preferred.
Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, and financial management.
Thorough understanding of electrical commercial and industrial construction practices and project management principles.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent education, technical training, and industry experience will be considered.
Advanced management, leadership, or technical training is a plus.
