Electrical Project Manager

Summary

A well-established electrical contractor is seeking a Project Manager / Estimator to support affordable housing and multifamily electrical construction projects throughout the Bay Area. This hybrid role is responsible for both preconstruction estimating and project management, working closely with field leadership, clients, vendors, and subcontractors from bid through project closeout.

Projects primarily include affordable housing, multifamily, mixed-use, podium, wrap, and other commercial electrical construction. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare complete electrical estimates and bid proposals for commercial and multifamily projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs and review plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor quotations
• Manage awarded projects from kickoff through closeout
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts
• Review and negotiate change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Coordinate with owners, general contractors, field teams, vendors, and subcontractors
• Monitor project progress, financial performance, procurement, and scheduling
• Participate in project meetings and maintain strong client relationships
• Support successful project execution while maintaining quality, safety, and budget objectives
• Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to ensure smooth turnover from preconstruction into construction

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Estimator, or Project Manager / Estimator
• Experience with commercial, multifamily, affordable housing, mixed-use, podium, or wrap construction projects
• Ability to prepare electrical estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid proposals
• Experience managing electrical construction projects from award through closeout
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction documents, contracts, and project financials
• Experience with change orders, RFIs, submittals, procurement, and subcontractor coordination
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with estimating software, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and project management software preferred
• Experience with ServiceTitan or similar project management platforms is a plus
