Project Scope
• Utility-scale solar projects averaging 250MW–500MW+
• Project durations ranging from 9 months to 2 years
• Larger developments may extend up to 4 years
• Projects may include:
o Standalone solar generation
o Solar + Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
o Hybrid infrastructure (solar + data centers or other load integration)

Responsibilities
This role owns the full electrical scope of construction execution across major renewable energy projects.

Key responsibilities include:
• Lead electrical execution from mobilization through commissioning and energization
• Manage full electrical budget, forecasting, and cost control
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, buyout, and performance
• Drive electrical construction schedule adherence and field execution
• Coordinate with EPC partners, utilities, and technical stakeholders
• Manage commissioning planning and energization execution
• Support interconnection activities and utility coordination
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards

Team Leadership
• Lead a field electrical team of 2–10 engineers and project staff
• Provide mentorship and day-to-day leadership in the field
• Report to Senior Project Management / Project Executive
• Maintain dotted-line coordination with senior electrical leadership overseeing a portfolio of projects

Technical Scope
Candidates should have strong working knowledge of:
• Medium and high-voltage electrical systems
• Collector systems and substations
• Utility interconnection processes
• Electrical construction sequencing and field execution
• Commissioning and energization procedures
• Subcontractor management in electrical scopes

Qualifications
Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent hands-on electrical construction experience)
• Experience managing large-scale electrical construction projects
• Strong financial and budget ownership experience
• Field-based leadership experience
Preferred:
• Utility-scale solar project experience
• EPC / design-build construction background
• Exposure to BESS or hybrid energy systems
• Commissioning and energization experience
• Understanding of utility interconnection processes

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a field-driven electrical construction leader who:
• Has owned full electrical scopes on large-scale projects
• Thrives in a 100% travel, rotational field environment
• Combines technical electrical expertise with financial ownership
• Has strong subcontractor and stakeholder management experience
• Is comfortable leading small to mid-sized engineering teams in the field
• Understands how to drive execution from greenfield through energization

Key Differentiators for Success
• Utility-scale experience (not residential or small commercial solar)
• Proven budget ownership on large projects
• Hands-on electrical construction leadership (not purely design/engineering)
• Strong commissioning and energization exposure
• Ability to operate independently in fast-paced field environments

To Apply Submit your resume highlighting:
• Largest electrical project size ($ value + MW)
• Specific role in commissioning and energization
• Budget responsibility and cost control experience
• Travel/field rotation experience
