ELECTRICAL ASSEMBLIES QUALITY INSPECTOR

MUST BE A DOCUMENTED UNITED STATES CITIZEN
This position is for a Quality Inspector for electrical assemblies. Things like cables, instrument panel and power cabinets for use on flight simulators. And all things electrical for airplane support. We are a certified supplier for Boeing.
Work Place: We are a fast paced, flight simulator company that specializes in flight, cargo loading and maintenance simulators. Our primary customer is various division of the US Government.
Quality Inspector Job Responsibilities: Initially, the main responsibilities of the quality inspector will be the inspection of electrical assemblies. Both real aircraft & simulators. This will be an inspection of not only the workmanship, but also continuity checking of the wiring, correct parts and validation of the labels. Most of this type of inspection is done upon completion of the assembly process.
Some inspection work will be of the in-process variety. This will entail checking a power cabinet prior to wiring for correct part placement and quantity and proper labeling. The inspector must sign off on the work that has been done so far prior to giving the go ahead to add wiring.
The Quality Inspector will be involved in the Peer Review Process for electrical drawings. They will be required to review drawings for completeness and/or errors for specific parts of the drawings.
The Quality Inspector will also be responsible for keeping track of all calibrated inspection equipment, when the next calibration is required and seeing to it that it goes out for calibration.
There are forms that the Quality Inspector is required to fill out for each item inspected.
Over time, the Quality Inspector will be required to take on the management and administration of the Quality Management System. This involves as good deal of documentation, training of others and auditing. Applicant must be comfortable speaking with individuals from all areas of the company, writing reports and making presentations to small groups.
Electrical Quality Inspector Qualifications and Skills:
Applicant must be familiar with IPC-A-610, Accept abilities of Electronic Assemblies.
Familiarity with Quality Standard AS9100D helpful.
Applicant must be very detail oriented and organized.
Applicant must have good communication skills, both verbal and written
Must have basic computer skills and be able to use the Microsoft Office package – Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Applicant must be able to read wiring and cable diagrams and be familiar with standard electrical components.
All applicants must be US Citizens. No one with a work visa or green card will be considered. We deal with government contracts which require paperwork & background checks to get on the military bases where we do the installs, there are NO exceptions
