Electrical Reliability Technician, Mission Systems

Mission
Own the reliability of plant electrical systems on 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:00 pm). From precision troubleshooting to preventive care, you’ll minimize downtime and build custom solutions for measurement, control, and communications when needed.
Impact responsibilities
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to scope work accurately.
- Install, alter, maintain, and repair wiring, controls, communications, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical apparatus.
- Pinpoint faults and execute repairs that meet all applicable specifications and codes.
- Fabricate special-purpose electrical units to support test, measurement, and controls.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting on equipment and systems to quickly restore operations.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to extend system lifespan and avoid failures.
- Maintain complete, accurate records of work performed.
- Champion safety procedures and enforce local, state, and national electrical code compliance.
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $25.00–$35.00
- Compensation reflects your skills, experience, and qualifications and is influenced by market and business considerations.
Required background
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- No relocation available; candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Orchard Park, NY. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred profile
- State Licensed Journeyman.
- 5 years of industrial electrical experience.
- 2 years’ experience specifically in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with: Welding/Fabrication; Piping systems; Electricity; PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers); Process control instrumentation; Process equipment; Personal computing.
