    • This position partners closely with Preconstruction, Project Management, Field Leadership, Prefabrication teams, and trade partners to ensure the electrical scope is accurately modeled, clash-free, and aligned with project standards and timeline.
    Job Duties:
    • Create, maintain, and coordinate electrical BIM models (power, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems as applicable).
    • Produce high-quality shop drawings, spooling sheets, and installation deliverables from coordinated models that also align with our company’s safety culture.
    • Participate in and/or lead clash detection and coordination meetings with GC and other trades.
    • Translate design intent into constructible, field-ready layouts (supports, sleeves, embeds, equipment rooms, routing, etc.)
    • Support prefabrication efforts by providing accurate model-based spools and material-driven outputs.
    • Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to align modeling priorities with field needs and safety factors or concerns.
    • Review contract documents (drawings/specs) and assist with RFI identification, constructability questions, project/schedule constraints, and solution development.
    • Maintain model standards and file management per project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and internal requirements.
    • Track and publish coordination updates, model milestones, and deliverable deadlines.
    • Support closeout deliverables such as As-Builts, record models, and O&M coordination where required.
    Requirements:
    • 3+ years of experience in BIM/VDC modeling for electrical construction or design/build.
    • Proficiency in BIM/VDC tools, such as: Autodesk Revit (required) and Navisworks Manage (for clash detection/coordination)
    • Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC standards, and construction workflows (routing, supports, equipment coordination, and field installation constraints)
    • Ability to interpret engineered drawings, specifications, and coordination requirements
    • Extrapolate necessary information from equipment submittals or vendor websites and cutsheets
    • Experience producing shop drawings/spools and supporting prefabrication or field installation (preferred)
    • Familiarity with multi-trade coordination processes and BIM execution standards
    • Read and understand trade partner’s contract/shop drawings
    Preferred:
    • Experience in healthcare, mission-critical, industrial, or large commercial projects
    • Knowledge of coordination for low-voltage systems (security, structured cabling, AV, nurse call, EPMS, BAS/BMS, lighting controls, etc.)
    • Autodesk Construction Cloud / Forma or similar collaboration platforms
    • Field experience or prior electrical trade background
    • Relevant certifications (Autodesk, BIM/VDC training, etc.)
    • Additional software and programming experience with AutoCAD / Revit API / Dynamo / C# / Python
