If you like complex buildings, thoughtful coordination, and seeing your work move from model to jobsite, you'll fit in well here!We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer (10+ years of experience preferred) who can own design, collaborate in a technology driven BIM environment, and support projects through construction.Electrical Systems DesignDesign lighting, electrical distribution, fire alarm, and standby generator systems for new construction and renovationsProduce clear, coordinated documentation for new building and remodel construction designDevelop design documents including plans, risers/single-lines, schedules, details, and wiring diagramsPrepare working drawings, wiring connection specifications, and cross-sections of underground cables as requiredAnalysis, Tools, and DeliverablesSupport code/compliance and performance documentation where applicable (COMcheck, REScheck, FlaCom)Use or support relevant design and analysis tools such as Visual, AGi32, and SKM Power Tools, as applicableReview designs and support specification editing to maintain quality and consistency across electrical deliverablesCoordination & Construction SupportCoordinate electrical design with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural teams in a real-time Revit/BIM workflowSupport construction administration including submittal reviews, RFI responses, site visits, and field reportsSupport coordination discussions with Owners, Contractors, Architects, and Code Authorities with a working understanding of cross-discipline requirementsTravel for project meetings, job site visits, and building surveys as requiredMentorship & QualityMentor and support the development of designers and early-career engineers through plan reviews, guidance, and knowledge-sharingHelp maintain quality and consistency across electrical deliverables, including coordination checks and documentation standardsWhat will make you successfulRequiredStrong working proficiency in Revit (electrical design within a BIM workflow)Solid understanding of electrical design fundamentals, applicable codes, and constructability considerationsExperience leading electrical design for multi-discipline building projects and coordinating with internal and external stakeholdersBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related engineering discipline)Preferred10+ years of electrical building systems design experience (consulting engineering preferred)EIT or P.E. license (or clear path toward licensure)Familiarity with COMcheck, REScheck, FlaCom, Visual, AGi32, and SKM Power ToolsProject types you may support: multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, office, retail/restaurant, industrial, data center, and healthcare construction projects.Why Join JSE?Jordan & Skala Engineers is a great place to build a long-term career.
