Electrical Senior Project Manager – Fargo, NDAE2S is seeking an Electrical Senior Project Manager to provide proactive leadership and electrical engineering solutions in water infrastructure to the communities we serve with our award‑winning team. If you are seeking a forward‑thinking culture and an opportunity for advancement, this role offers a chance to chart your own destiny.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for client management activities, including maintaining and enhancing existing relationships, proposal development, and leading project opportunities.Design and develop electrical systems and components in compliance with industry standards.Conduct research and feasibility studies to evaluate new electrical technologies.Serve as lead electrical engineer on large‑scale, multi‑discipline design projects, including preparing and overseeing budgets, delegating tasks, and monitoring schedules.Provide proactive technical expertise, quality control, and assurance on designs and specifications.Develop and expand business by pursuing strategies focused on client success aligned with AE2S's initiatives.Collaborate across multiple disciplines and with subconsultants to deliver quality work on schedule and within budget.Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight for assigned project team members.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.Minimum of 10 years of electrical system design experience in the water/wastewater industry (design‑bid‑build required); experience with design‑build and/or CMAR preferred.Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain.Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, compliance practices, regulations, and standards.Experience providing guidance and strategic leadership to mid‑level, senior‑level, and project team members.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.All applicants must be able to complete the pre‑employment requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).Preferred Qualifications5+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in water and/or wastewater treatment.Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.Medium‑voltage experience.Project management experience.Scope and fee development specific to electrical design.Physical RequirementsAbility to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain.Stand or sit for prolonged periods.Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight, up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting up to 50 pounds.Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify errors or defects.May require wearing PPE including flame‑resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear.May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload.May require travel to off‑site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town.Benefits and CultureAE2S offers more than competitive compensation.
