Electrical Skid Systems Wiring Technician

About the role

Build and wire chemical feed equipment from the ground up. You will interpret blueprints and project scopes to fabricate frames and supports, complete pipe fitting and machining, route conduit, assemble control panels, and verify every detail meets design intent.

A day in the life

• Review project scope, drawings, and Bills of Material; verify parts pulled and flag any failed or missing items.
• Bring any drawing discrepancies or questions to the foreman for resolution.
• Fabricate and assemble skid structures, including structural supports, machining, and pipe fitting tasks.
• Install and route PVC and metal conduit to specification.
• Assemble electrical components into skid systems per Electrical Controls Designers’ drawings and provided control panels.
• Perform electrical wiring installation and terminations as required.
• Complete functional testing on finished systems.
• Maintain accurate quality control records and test forms.
• Assist with field startup and service activities when needed.
• Keep personal tools in working order and maintain an organized, clean work area.

What you’ll bring

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Hands-on electrical experience and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Confident with measurements and basic math.
• Manual dexterity and skill with hand tools.
• Ability to analyze mechanical and electro-mechanical system issues using schematics.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional communication, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment and willingness to work overtime when required.

Physical and other requirements

• Lift 50–75 lbs and perform constant standing, bending, kneeling, and stretching.
• Pass ProMinent’s in-house forklift certification.

Preferred

• Associate’s degree in an electrical-related field.
