Electrical Specialist SR 1

Position Overview BLOC Resources is seeking an experienced Electrical Specialist SR 1 to support Southern Company operations in Ackerman, Mississippi. This senior-level electrical position is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, installation, testing, and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and systems within a power-generation or heavy industrial environment. The Electrical Specialist will work with a broad range of electrical equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, electrical signaling and communication systems, plant DC emergency battery backup systems, and electrical systems ranging from 480V through 13.8kV. The position will also support basic high-voltage switchyard electrical maintenance consistent with established electrical safety practices. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of related electrical experience, strong industrial troubleshooting capabilities, and previous Journeyman Electrician or relevant military electrical experience. Safety is a core requirement of this position and a condition of employment.
