Electrical Superintendent

YBS Electrical LLC is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead onsite electrical projects in Virginia and ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

Position Summary

The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations for electrical construction projects. This role ensures work is completed safely and according to specifications, while coordinating schedules, crews, and project requirements to support successful outcomes.

You will serve as a key leader in the field—driving jobsite organization, managing workflow, and partnering with internal teams and stakeholders to keep projects moving smoothly from start through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate onsite electrical installation activities, ensuring work aligns with project plans, specifications, and applicable standards.

• Lead jobsite safety practices by enforcing safe work habits and addressing hazards in a timely manner.

• Manage project workflow by planning daily/weekly tasks, monitoring progress, and adjusting schedules as needed to meet milestones.

• Direct and support field personnel, including subcontractors, to maintain productivity and high-quality workmanship.

• Track jobsite documentation and progress, and communicate status updates, risks, and needs to appropriate stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising electrical construction work in an onsite setting.

• Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices, jobsite workflow, and construction fundamentals.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to direct crews and manage changing job conditions.

• Ability to read and interpret project documents such as plans, diagrams, and specifications.

• Commitment to safety with the ability to consistently enforce safe work practices on the jobsite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple workstreams or progressing projects through completion phases.

• Familiarity with inspection and testing processes commonly associated with electrical projects.

• Strong communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders and resolving field issues efficiently.

• Track record of maintaining quality standards while meeting project schedules and requirements.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $30.00 - $50.00
