Electrical Superintendent

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned construction projects
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule and budget
• Maintain the highest standards of workmanship and installation quality
• Verify proper installation procedures, materials usage, and system performance

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop field teams
• Evaluate team performance and support professional growth
• Enforce company policies including safety, conduct, and uniform standards

Project Coordination

• Communicate daily with Project Engineers regarding:
• • Scheduling
  • Materials
  • Administrative needs
  • Project issues that impact timeline or budget
• Review plans, specifications, and manufacturer instructions to ensure proper implementation
• Support change orders, time & material work orders, and estimate reviews

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain strict adherence to all safety standards and procedures
• Immediately report safety issues, schedule changes, or workforce concerns to management
• Ensure materials and equipment are used safely and efficiently

Client & Trade Relations

• Maintain professional relationships with:
• • Clients
  • Vendors
  • Suppliers
  • Other trades on site

Knowledge & Skills

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

• Advanced knowledge of complex electrical systems
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Understanding of estimates, change orders, and time & material work
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced construction environments

Qualifications

Education

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

• Trade school or business coursework

Experience

Minimum

• 5 years of electrical installation experience

Preferred

• 5+ years in electrical or construction industry
• 3+ years in project leadership or supervisory roles

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid driver’s license (Class A preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Ability to obtain the following within 6 months:
• • Electrical Hazard Awareness Certification
  • CPR / First Aid / AED Certification

Working Environment

This role operates primarily on active construction sites and requires flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Expect:

• Multiple project deadlines
• Exposure to outdoor elements including heat and cold
• Working around construction equipment and active job sites

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to:

• Perform moderate to heavy lifting
• Walk, stand, climb, and work at heights for extended periods
• Bend, kneel, crawl, and reach as required for installations
• Operate tools, equipment, and construction machinery safely

Vision and hearing must be sufficient to operate equipment and perform job duties safely.
