    Description

    Electrical Superintendent

    Location: Ohio (Power Generation Facility)

    Schedule: 6x10

Duration: 18 months – 2 years, with strong likelihood of follow-on project assignments; long-term opportunity to move site-to-site with the company

    About the Project

Epcon is supporting a major power generation facility build in Ohio and is seeking experienced Electrical Superintendents to oversee electrical subcontractor performance through construction and commissioning. This is a long-term opportunity for the right candidates, with additional projects lined up after this assignment and a path to continued site-to-site work.

    Position Summary

The Electrical Superintendent will provide field oversight and coordination of electrical subcontractors on a large-scale industrial power generation project. This is a supervisory, non-tools role — the Superintendent will not be performing hands-on electrical work, but will be responsible for schedule adherence, quality control, safety compliance, and coordination between electrical subcontractors and the broader project team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of electrical subcontractors across the site
    • Monitor subcontractor manpower, productivity, and schedule compliance
    • Enforce quality control standards and ensure work conforms to project specifications, code requirements, and engineering drawings
    • Coordinate electrical scope with other trades and superintendents to avoid conflicts and delays
    • Conduct field walks and inspections to verify progress and identify issues before they impact schedule
    • Ensure subcontractor compliance with site safety programs and protocols
    • Participate in project scheduling meetings, providing input on electrical sequencing and manpower needs
    • Review and support resolution of RFIs, punch lists, and field-level technical issues related to electrical scope
    • Support commissioning and startup activities as the project progresses
    • Maintain daily reports, documentation, and communication with project management

    Required Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience in large industrial/facility construction, with direct oversight of electrical scope
    • Experience on large-scale capital projects; relevant industries include power generation, pharmaceutical, semiconductor/microchip fabrication, data centers, and large-scale production/manufacturing facilities
    • Journeyman Electrician license required
    • Proven experience managing and overseeing electrical subcontractors (not a hands-on/tools role)
    • Strong understanding of electrical construction sequencing on large industrial sites
    • Solid knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical codes and standards
    • Strong communication and coordination skills across multiple subcontractors and project stakeholders
    • Ability to work a 6x10 schedule for the duration of the assignment
    • Willingness to relocate/travel for future site assignments as the role is intended to be long-term and site-to-site

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience specifically on power generation projects
    • OSHA 30 certification
    • Experience with commissioning and startup on large industrial facilities
