Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team in the construction industry. This is a unique opportunity to bring your leadership and technical skills to bear in a fast-paced, challenging environment. As an Electrical Superintendent, you will be tasked with overseeing all electrical-related aspects of our construction projects, from initial planning and design to final installation and testing. You will be responsible for ensuring all work is performed to the highest safety and quality standards, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all electrical operations on construction sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Develop and implement project work plans, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor electrical teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Review and approve electrical designs and plans, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
  • Manage resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment, to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure safety and quality standards are being met.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes that arise, working closely with project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in an electrical supervisory role.
  • Current Journeyman or Master Electrical License preferred.
  • Experience in heavy industrial settings is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proficient in relevant software, including CAD and project management tools.
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of the job, including spending extended periods on construction sites and lifting heavy equipment.
