12-Month+ Contract | 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Systems Engineers provide leadership for products and projects that involve multi-disciplinary engineering teams. They play roles in all aspects of a product lifecycle from Concept through Market Release and Sustaining. During the Concept Phase, Systems Engineers work to understand stakeholder needs and clinical use. They translate those needs to concepts and new inventions. During Development, Systems Engineers are responsible for ensuring the design meets the user needs through requirements identification and requirements decomposition. They achieve results using a variety of system engineering techniques such as: traceability, architecture, modeling, trade studies, simulation, and budgeting. Systems Engineers are also responsible for system integration and may lead the Verification effort. The best Systems Engineers are driven leaders, excellent communicators, creative problem solvers, domain experts, and can balance multiple competing priorities.

Responsibilities 

• Providing leadership for products and projects that involve multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Playing roles in all aspects of a product lifecycle from Concept through Market Release and Sustaining.
• Working to understand stakeholder needs and clinical use during the Concept Phase.
• Translating stakeholder needs into concepts and new inventions.
• Ensuring the design meets user needs through requirements identification and requirements decomposition during Development.
• Achieving results by utilizing a variety of system engineering techniques such as traceability, architecture, modeling, trade studies, simulation, and budgeting.
• Leading system integration efforts and possibly overseeing the Verification process.
• Demonstrating driven leadership, excellent communication, creative problem-solving, and domain expertise while balancing multiple competing priorities.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proven expertise in system architecture development, requirements management, system integration, modeling, simulation, trade studies, traceability, and architecture frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead product lifecycle phases from concept to market release.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with clinical stakeholder needs in medical device development.
