    Description

    How You Can Make An ImpactAs an Electrical Systems Engineer , you will play a key role in the integration and design of complex electrical systems across the vehicle platform. This includes specifying and electrically integrating subcontractor systems such as entry systems, HVAC, fire protection, and lighting. You will design and develop on-board power distribution and supply networks from the main power converter to auxiliary systems, including the onboard, battery, and control power systems. Additionally, you will contribute to the control and operation architecture of the vehicle, designing critical functions and systems such as safety and assistance features, driving data recording, control technologies, train protection, and train communication networks.Key ActivitiesDesign of electrical components and specification of systems, functions and associated interfaces in compliance with project requirementsIntegration of assigned electrical equipment and systems into rail vehicles and responsibility for their proper functioning in the vehiclePreparation of engineering documentation, such as concepts, specifications, electrical schematic templates, software requirements, type test specifications and verification documentsVerification and validation of systems through final approvalProvide technical support of type tests and troubleshootingTechnical clarifications and cooperation with internal and external project partners (customers and suppliers) in an international environmentDevelopment and optimization of systems in interdisciplinary teams in compliance with customer specifications, standards and internal requirementsTechnical support for the preparation of offers and tendersQualificationsBS or MS in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering4+ years of relevant experience in railway, defense, aerospace or similarExcellent communication and technical writing skillsExcellent problem-solving abilities with strong teamwork skillsBusiness fluent in English (German is a plus)Experience with schematic software, MS Office, PLM and ECN systems (e.g. E3, SmarTeam)Willingness to travel for training, supplier visits and testing on vehicles#J-18808-Ljbffr
