Picture your week: four focused days on campus guiding future technicians through real-world, low-voltage electrical and electronics work. You step into a fully equipped training facility, power up the lab benches, and lead learners through hands-on exercises that mirror what you’ve mastered in the field. That’s the impact you’ll make as an Electrical Systems Instructor — Low-Voltage Specialization in our Electrical and Electronic Systems program.

What your days look like

From wiring single- and three-phase demonstrations to exploring codes, safety, and compliance, you’ll translate industry practice into classroom and lab success. You’ll coach professionalism, track progress, and celebrate skill growth — all while knowing Lincoln Tech supports industry pros making the leap into teaching (no prior classroom experience required).

Core responsibilities

• Deliver practical, lab-based instruction using our fully equipped facility to build job-ready Electrical & Electronic Systems skills.
• Facilitate and teach an accredited Lincoln Tech curriculum aligned with industry expectations.
• Model and enforce safety procedures and regulatory compliance for real-world readiness.
• Mentor students in professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Assess performance regularly; give clear feedback and coaching for measurable progress.
• Equip learners with the knowledge and confidence to launch in-demand careers.

What you bring

• 3+ years in residential, commercial, or industrial electrical work.
• Hands-on experience installing and servicing electrical equipment.
• Working knowledge of single- and three-phase systems.
• Solid understanding of electrical codes.
• Background with motor controls, lighting controls, or solar (a plus).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Teaching experience is welcome but not required — we’ll help you transition.
