Job Title: Electrical Systems Technician

Reporting Relationship: Director of Mechanical Systems

Unit: IWU - Marion Department: Facilities Management Campus Location: Maintenance Building - Marion, IN

Summary of Position: The primary responsibilities of the Electrical Technician are to assist the Lead Electrical Technician with coordinating and organizing daily to monthly work schedules. This position would assist to ensure the provision of uninterrupted, quality electrical service and maintenance to the Marion Campus. Provide and exhibit sound stewardship practices as pertaining to budgets within the Mechanical Systems Division. Lastly this position would monitor and maintain inventories of components and other associated supplies as required for Electrical systems operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with and implement daily, weekly, and monthly job assignments for Electrical Systems Technician team • Daily review and monitoring of Building Electrical system components • In coordination with the Lead Electrical Systems Technician provide leadership in the procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, and services related to the campus Electrical Systems • Supervise student employees as assigned • Assist Lead Electrical Systems Technician with internal project development including scope, code adherence, labor and material estimation, budget establishment and oversight • Receive and carry out special assignments as may be directed by the Lead Electrical Systems Technician • Represent IWU as assigned to internal and external committees, boards, and agencies in related functions and assignments • May be required to work overtime as directed by supervision

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in Electrical equipment maintenance and repair

Required Skills:
