Job Title: Electrical Tech
Location: Meadville, Pennsylvania
Type: 6 Month Contract
Compensation: $25-$35 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday starting at 6 AM (8-10 hour days)
Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Technician to support a busy manufacturing operation through the completion of several active equipment build projects. This role focuses on the assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of custom industrial machinery and electrical control panels used in high-pressure lubrication systems.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with panel building, machine wiring, electrical assembly, and reading electrical schematics. This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment where technicians work closely with Engineering and Production teams to complete approximately 10–15 machine builds per week.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, wire, and test industrial machinery and electrical control panels according to engineering drawings and production schedules.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Perform point-to-point wiring of electrical panels and machine components.
- Wire and troubleshoot systems operating in 240V-480V environments.
- Build custom machinery and equipment to engineering specifications.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues during assembly and testing.
- Verify completed assemblies meet quality and operational standards.
- Complete manufacturing documentation and production records as required.
- Communicate material shortages, quality concerns, and production issues to management.
- Support inventory and material management activities when needed.
- Train and assist new team members on assembly procedures, quality standards, and safety practices.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, drills, and other assembly equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Electrical assembly
- Control panel building
- Machine wiring
- Industrial maintenance
- Industrial equipment manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Experience performing electrical wiring and assembly work on industrial equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
Preferred
- Experience building custom machinery or automated equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
- Forklift experience.
- Familiarity with manufacturing production processes and quality standards.
Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing facility and requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating production equipment throughout the workday. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, and moderate industrial noise levels.
