Electricity, Electromechanical Systems, IP (Internet Protocol), Identify Issues, International Electro-Technical Commission (IEC), Load Testing, Maintenance - Electrical, Oscilloscope, Retrofit, Schematics, Voltmeter, Willing to Travel
Technical:
- AA degree preferred but not a must
- Experience with running cables and electrical wires. Must be able to read a schematic
- Experience with marine vessels a plus
- Experience working with IP67, 68 products
- Experience with 24/48 V DC power
- Expertise in using digital multimeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes for diagnostics and load testing.
- Knowledge of marine electrical codes (IEC 60092) a big plus
- May require some travel
Responsibilities:
- Run communication and power wires and cables to retrofit engine controls
- Install and calibrate sensors
- Replace faulty actuators, valves, or electronic control units (ECUs) during routine maintenance windows
- Conducting routine inspections of IP rated enclosures and hardware to prevent corrosion, vibration damage, or ingress from saltwater.
- Using multimeters, oscilloscpes and CAN diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical faults in complex electro-mechanical systems.
