Position SummaryThe Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and controls in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting skills, experience reading electrical schematics, and a commitment to workplace safety and quality.
Essential Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical equipment and machinery.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Install, test, and maintain electrical components, wiring, and control systems.
- Support production operations by responding to equipment issues in a timely manner.
- Utilize electrical testing equipment to identify and resolve problems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance, engineering, and production teams.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical degree, vocational training, or equivalent electrical experience preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Knowledge of electrical controls, motors, sensors, relays, and PLC systems preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
