Join an Extraordinary Team
VIVIFY is a fast-growing technology company in the clean energy space, and we're looking for an Electrical Technician to help bring our next-generation products — HOGTM, CATTM, and Flying PigTM — to life on the lab and production floor.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who's just as comfortable running wire and reading a schematic as they are inside a PLC programming environment. You'll work under the direct supervision of our Chief Engineer, supporting everything from power distribution and control circuits to sensor integration and automation across our lab and production zones.
If you're an electrician who's equally at home in a Siemens TIA Portal project and inside an open electrical panel, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems — power distribution, control circuits, sensors, and instrumentation — across all lab and production zones
- Perform wiring, termination, and commissioning of electrical panels, drives, PLCs, and field devices
- Integrate sensors at both the hardware and software level, working with Siemens S7 PLCs and associated hardware
- Program PLCs through Siemens TIA Portal, and write custom code to connect sensor data to live dashboards
- Apply working knowledge of Python to manage the relationship between physical sensors and the GUIs that monitor and control them
- Write and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control drawings
- Create, test, analyze, and validate circuits from initial design through commissioning
- Support PLC-based automation across production and lab systems
- Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for all work on energized systems
- Support the installation and calibration of field sensors — power, temperature, pressure, pH, gas, oxygen, flow, and liquid level
- Maintain electrical as-built drawings and wiring diagrams, recording changes as they happen
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment per the documented maintenance schedule
- Identify and report electrical deficiencies, hazards, or non-conformances the same day they're found
- Support the Director of AI Deployment on hardware bring-up and instrumentation as directed by the Chief Engineer
- Participate in required safety training — LOTO, electrical safety, PPE, and EHS orientation
- Report through established operational channels — weekly meeting, daily report, and direct escalation as needed
- Submit procurement requests for parts, materials, tools, and vendor engagements through the established process before any order or commitment is made
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent required
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or laboratory electrical environment
- Working knowledge of Siemens S7 PLCs and TIA Portal programming
- Comfort writing or reading Python, particularly for sensor-to-GUI integration
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control drawings
- Lockout/Tagout trained and compliant
- Instrumentation and control wiring experience preferred — sensors, transmitters, PLCs
- NFPA 70E electrical safety training preferred
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is:
- Hands-on and detail-oriented, with pride in doing the work right the first time
- Comfortable moving fluidly between hardware and software — wiring today, PLC code tomorrow
- Safety-first in mindset and practice, without needing to be told twice
- Proactive about flagging issues before they become bigger problems
- Disciplined about documentation — as-builts and wiring diagrams stay current, not "eventually"
- Able to work independently while staying closely aligned with the Chief Engineer's direction
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage environment where systems are still being built out
Compensation & Benefits
- $60,000–$80,000 annual salary
- 100% employer-paid medical insurance
- Paid Time Off
- Paid Holidays
- Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding technology company
- Stable, long-term career with a high-performing team
