Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Experience operating or supporting high-power/high-voltage test setups and validation activities
  • Strong hands-on experience with PCB assembly and rework (SMD and through-hole)
  • Basic ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to support PCB rework and electrical assembly
  • Experience using multimeters and power supplies
  • Practical mechanical skills including drilling, tapping, cutting, and general assembly
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced prototyping or lab environment
  • Comfortable supporting engineers in development, testing, and iteration of hardware systems
  • Comfortable working around high-voltage/high-power systems (training provided)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain clean and efficient workspace
  • Proactive with good time management and communication skills
  • Experience with fine-pitch components (QFN, QFP, BGAs), fine jumper wires, and dense PCB rework preferred
  • Familiarity with busbar assembly and high-current hardware integration preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Perform SMD soldering and rework (down to 0402 and fine-pitch components) and soldering of large-gauge wires and components with high thermal mass (heavy copper PCBs, large through-hole pins)
  • Build and wire electrical panels, test fixtures, and cable assemblies from drawings and documentation
  • Work in high-voltage, high-power electronics prototyping lab alongside electrical, mechanical, and test engineers
  • Assemble mechanical structures, enclosures, and prototype hardware, and perform basic fabrication tasks (drilling, tapping, cutting, deburring)
  • Operate high-voltage (>1 kV) and high-power (>10 kW) test equipment safely, support hardware testing and bring-up, and maintain organization of lab space, tools, and parts inventory
