Basic Job Functions:

Electrical Technicians will be responsible for maintaining the facility's electrical and process control systems. Duties include but are not limited to inspection, calibration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical instrumentation controls, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators as well as switchgear, motors and other electrical equipment. Electrical Technicians will work with motors, digital and analog electronics, schematics, print reading and control circuits, AC/DC theory and electrical maintenance, computers/PLC and test instruments, power supplies, power distribution and construction/installation, and mechanical and hand/power tools as it relates to manufacturing equipment. Will also work with and adhere to safe electrical practices. Teammates will use computerized maintenance management program/system to complete work orders, find and order parts, and to schedule maintenance work for their shift. This position will work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends, holidays, and scheduled/unscheduled overtime. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have high school diploma or equivalent and experience in industrial electrical maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience is preferred in the following: CMMS systems, AC/DC drives and motors, digital and analog electronics, schematics, print reading, control circuits, computers/PLC and test instruments, power supplies, power distribution, 480V systems, NFPA70E, construction/installation, mechanical maintenance knowledge/experience, and crane maintenance experience.
