POSITION SUMMARY:

Our client is- seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems, PLC-controlled equipment, motors, drives, and automated production machinery.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, self-motivated, and committed to maximizing equipment reliability while minimizing downtime.

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Install, wire, and upgrade industrial electrical systems and automated controls.
  • Troubleshoot and program PLC systems, including Allen-Bradley 500 and 5000 platforms.
  • Install, maintain, and repair AC/DC drives, motors, control panels, relays, and electrical components.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain electrical spare parts inventory and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), OSHA, and company safety procedures.
  • Communicate equipment status and repair progress during shift changes.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts safely when required.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve equipment performance.
  • Respond to emergency equipment failures and support planned shutdowns as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and repair records.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and programming.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and AC/DC drive systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical motors, control circuits, sensors, relays, VFDs, and industrial automation systems.
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and preventative maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures and industrial safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in hot manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to work at heights using ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts while utilizing required fall protection.
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime, weekends, and respond to emergency call-ins as needed.
