Job Description

This Electrical Engineering Technician role supports a growing portfolio of engineering, equipment, and tooling programs with a focus on custom aerospace tooling and automated control systems. The position combines hands-on electrical fabrication, system integration, testing, and troubleshooting of highly engineered equipment. Responsibilities

• Build, wire, and integrate electrical control systems, wire harnesses, motor control circuits, control panels, and electro-mechanical assemblies based on engineering drawings and schematics.
• Support the development, fabrication, and testing of custom aerospace tooling, automated equipment, and control systems.
• Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and test procedures to ensure accurate assembly and integration.
• Perform system-level troubleshooting, verification, and functional testing of electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies to ensure reliable operation.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to support prototype development, equipment modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with in-shop fabrication, commissioning, and validation of highly engineered custom equipment.
• Participate in on-site installation, startup, integration, and troubleshooting activities at customer facilities as required.
• Contribute to expanded responsibilities in areas such as procurement, quality systems, supplier management, and manufacturing operations support as opportunities arise.

Essential Skills

• Strong practical experience in electrical fabrication, including building and wiring control panels, wire harnesses, motor control circuits, and electro-mechanical assemblies from engineering documentation.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work confidently from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and test procedures.
• Proficiency in system-level troubleshooting, verification, and functional testing of electrical and electro-mechanical systems using standard diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Experience designing layouts, wiring, and fabricating UL 508A industrial control panels from engineering documentation with minimal supervision.
• Solid understanding of electrical controls, motor controls, sensors, relays, PLC I/O, and industrial automation components.
• Experience integrating control panels, motors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical devices into complex electro-mechanical equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in electrical engineering, electronics, or electrical engineering design.
• Experience working with aerospace tooling, automated equipment, or highly engineered custom machinery.
• Comfort collaborating in cross-functional teams with engineers, technicians, and operations personnel.
• Willingness to support procurement, quality systems, supplier management, and manufacturing operations as responsibilities expand.

Work Environment

The role is primarily based in a shop and engineering environment focused on custom aerospace tooling and automated control systems. You will work hands-on with electrical control panels, motors, sensors, relays, PLC I/O, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and various diagnostic and test equipment. The position involves a mix of in-shop fabrication, commissioning, and validation activities, along with periodic on-site work at customer facilities for installation, startup, integration, and troubleshooting. The environment is collaborative and project-driven, offering exposure to unique, highly engineered equipment and opportunities for continuous learning and professional development.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redmond, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
