The New Product Introduction Test Engineer role requires a balance of hands-on product engagement, collaborative teamwork with other test engineers, managers, and independent execution. This position is based on-site five days per week. Success in this role depends on frequent cross-functional collaboration between Programs, Engineering, and Production teams.
BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience Demonstrated ability to synthesize system-level knowledge, product fault records, and electronics testing to diagnose complex product and application issues. Ability to perform analysis and diagnostics down to an electronic component level (e.g. analog, digital, power, and communication) using various laboratory equipment (e.g. power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes) Demonstrated proficiency in methodical problem solving and critical thinking Ability to interpret and implement regulatory and requirements specifications General understanding of electronics assembly and test processes Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Ability to effectively multitask / manage personal priorities, and coordinate / organize activities in a team environment.
Experience using complex analytical tools and methods (SPC, 6 Sigma, Green/Black Belt, etc.) Experience in Reliability Engineering and associated methods, tools, and techniques Experience using advanced test and analysis instrumentation (spectrum, bus, and logic analyzers, etc.) Experience programming in various software and/or data analytic environments (Basic, UNIX, C++, NI LabVIEW, NI Test Stand, Visual Studio, Python, SQL, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least twelve (12) years experience.
