About This Role: iRhythm is currently seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to join our team for 6 months. Engineers at iRhythm work passionately to deliver innovative solutions that improve the quality of healthcare and the patient experience. In this role you will contribute directly to near- and long-term commercialization efforts for our next-generation wearable biosensors, collaborating alongside a small team of multi-disciplinary engineers experienced in bringing medical devices to market. You will be treated as a regular member of the engineering team, inclusive of the associated projects, deliverables and accountability. This position would be a hybrid role with an expectation of 3-4 days in our SanFrancisco, California office.About You: We are seeking an enthusiastic electrical engineering student or new graduate to join the iRhythm Electrical Engineering team. You will gain exposure to the testing approach required to release Class2 compliant hardware in the medical device industry. Your tasks will include testing, analysis, design, evaluation and debugging of circuits to support exciting additions to our product line. You will bring excellent technical and documentation skills, approach prototyping and debugging with curiosity, be interested in automation, appreciate feedback, and feel satisfied when data backs up your ideas.Desired Qualifications: Strong EE fundamentalsDetail‑oriented with excellent troubleshooting and critical‑thinking skillsStrong understanding of analog and digital circuits, with underlying strength in math and physicsHands‑on lab experience including soldering, data acquisition, and lab test equipment: multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.Hands‑on experience in prototype bring‑up, debugging and functional verificationFamiliarity with schematic and layout tools (Altium a bonus) and circuit analysis/simulation tools (SPICE)Experience with a scripting language for analyzing and plotting data (Python a plus)Ability to use Office tools: spreadsheets, word processor, etc.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsComfortable working with minimal supervisionCompensation: $36/hour.
