Description

Overview: Sterling Engineering is partnering with a well-established manufacturer to hire an Electrical Test Technician to support the assembly and testing of electrical power distribution equipment.
 
Location: Franklin, WI 53132
 Schedule:
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday | 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Overtime 2-3 Fridays per month
Pay: $27.00/hour
Hire Type: Contract to Hire

Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical power distribution and power quality products using blueprints, bills of materials, and engineering documentation.
  • Perform mechanical assembly, disconnect assemblies, and final product inspections.
  • Conduct high-voltage electrical testing, including:
    • Partial Discharge Testing
    • Dielectric Testing
    • Calibration Testing
    • Timing Tests
    • Low Voltage Testing
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues during testing.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly drawings.
  • Safely operate hand tools, torque tools, wiring equipment, and other production equipment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards while meeting production goals.
 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience performing high-voltage electrical testing (5kV / 3-phase or similar).
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience using hand tools, torque tools, wiring equipment, and precision measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Manufacturing or electrical assembly experience preferred.
