Our Electrical Instructor support Amteck's commitment to employee development by delivering technical and professional training across the organization. This role provides classroom instruction, field-based training, and curriculum support while helping employees and apprentices develop the skills needed for long-term success.
The Electrical Instructor serves as a resource for apprentices, collaborates with field leadership to identify training needs, and helps ensure training programs align with Amteck's operational goals and core values.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging classroom and field-based training.
Teach National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical theory, and hands-on skills labs.
Support apprentices through instruction, mentoring, feedback, and performance documentation.
Facilitate study groups, review sessions, and test preparation workshops.
Assist with the development and improvement of training materials and curriculum.
Travel to project sites and regional offices to provide training and support employee development.
Collaborate with field leaders to identify training opportunities and recommend solutions.
Track attendance, engagement, and learning outcomes.
Support onboarding, technical upskilling, and professional development initiatives.
Stay current on industry best practices, code changes, and emerging technologies.
Promote Amteck's culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
Ability to travel frequently between job sites and offices.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Experience delivering training, mentoring, or instructional content preferred.
Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
Passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing others.
