Job Description
This apprenticeship leads to the Electrician license. Manufacturing plant Electricians are responsible for survey, adjust, repair, install, modify, debug and maintain control systems, and electrical systems and equipment for production equipment and facilities; to provide technical assistance on equipment and facilities projects. To complete projects in accordance with city, state and national electrical codes, customer and PCC specifications.
Candidates must be able and willing to complete the Electrician Apprenticeship program, which typically takes four (4) to (5) years.
The Electrician Apprenticeship includes 144 classroom hours per year, which may be required outside the regular work schedule, and 8000 - 10,000 on-the-job training hours. Candidates must be able to work any shift assigned for each on-the-job training 6 month rotations (day, shift, graveyard, weekend).
MISSION:
To install, troubleshoot, repair, modify and maintain manufacturing and facilities' equipment, tools and machinery. To perform work in compliance with applicable state and federal codes.

May be required to complete annual hazardous waste training, handle hazardous waste, complete weekly inspections, or manage areas that generate or handle hazardous waste.
