In this role, the candidate will wire, install, and service residential backup power systems—ensuring code-compliant connections across generators, transfer switches, and main panels. Working with a high-performing crew, they will deliver precise, safety-focused, and customer-driven power solutions.

What’s in it for you?

  • $35–$38/hour, depending on experience (If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions)
  • 10 paid-time-off (PTO) days + 9 paid holidays
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance coverage
  • Opportunities for career growth and professional development
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Uniforms and safety gear provided
  • Ongoing training and certification opportunities

Responsibilities:

  • Install residential backup generators in compliance with manufacturer specs, local electrical codes, and safety guidelines.
  • Connect the generator to the main electrical panel through an automatic transfer switch (ATS) or manual transfer switch, ensuring correct wiring, load balancing, and circuit protection.
  • Assemble and install generator components, including engines, alternators, exhaust systems, and fuel systems, following manufacturer guidelines and best practices.
  • Integrate the generator with the appropriate fuel source, such as natural gas lines or propane tanks, and ensure efficient fuel delivery to the generator system.
  • Thoroughly test and commission the generator to ensure it functions reliably, automatically starts during power outages, and supplies the required power to essential circuits.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Journeyman Electrician License preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of computers and mobile devices
