Job Description
Nucor Yamato Steel is seeking a full-time Electrician in Blytheville, AR to perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs across the steel mill facility. The position applies electrical engineering principles across rotating shifts and works with medium and high voltage systems to ensure plant reliability. Candidates must possess an Associate degree in industrial electricity (or equivalent certificate) or 2+ years of industrial electrical troubleshooting experience, along with background in medium/high voltage systems.

Job Responsibilities
Job Duties
Execute electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, installation, testing, adjustment, and repair of machinery and electronic systems across the mill
Maintain and service AC/DC motors, drives, medium/high voltage equipment, and transformers to ensure facility reliability
Support maintenance and production teams while building collaborative relationships, mentoring peers, apprentices, and interns
Initiate, lead, and uphold all plant safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards

Qualifications
Job Requirements
Associate degree in industrial electricity/equivalent certification OR 2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance troubleshooting experience (Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering preferred)
Knowledge of medium/high voltage systems, electrical engineering principles, standard maintenance techniques, and mechanical/tool concepts
Experience in electrical theory, AC/DC motors, AC/DC drives, computer hardware/software, and transformers (3+ years in advanced troubleshooting of systems, circuits, starters, drives, hydraulic/pneumatics, PLC/ladder logic, or instrumentation preferred)
Ability to work safely at varying heights on a rotating shift schedule (days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime)
