Lynn Electric is hiring experienced Electricians to join our crews on new construction projects, from multi-family housing and senior living facilities to commercial office buildings. You'll work alongside a tight-knit crew under your foreman, installing electrical systems from the ground up, following plans, meeting code, and holding yourself to a high standard of quality on every job.What You'll DoRead plans and specifications, and lay out wiring and equipment locations before work beginsMeasure, cut, bend, and install conduit; pull wire and cable; and set boxes, following the National Electrical Code (NEC) as adopted where the job is locatedInstall circuit-breaker panels, switches, receptacles, and lighting, along with grounding and bondingConnect power to lighting fixtures, motors, HVAC units, and other equipmentInstall temporary power and lighting for the job siteTest circuits for continuity, grounding, and safety before power is turned onWork safely, following OSHA construction rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and site safety plansSupport inspections, fix any corrections, and keep daily logs and material countsWork with your foreman and crew to keep projects on schedule and done rightWhat We're Looking ForMinimum 2 years of hands-on electrical experience in a commercial or new-construction settingWorking knowledge of the NEC and the ability to apply it on the jobAbility to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and technical specificationsBasic computer skillsValid driver's license in good standingReliable transportation with the ability to commute to job sites within approximately a 1-hour radius of the Kansas City metroJourneyman license preferred, but not required.Electrical Technology program graduate a plusPhysical RequirementsThis is a physically demanding field role. Candidates should be able to regularly lift up to 70 lbs. (occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance), climb ladders and scaffolding, work at heights, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in outdoor conditions including heat, cold, and uneven terrain.
