Position Summary:

The Electrician will assist in wiring Medium Voltage switchgear etc. to engineering and electrical prints, bills of material, and assembly instructions, as well as train and assist wiring technicians.

In This Role You Will:

  • Assemble electrical systems by installing components, assemblies, and wiring to standards.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
  • Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand, power tools, equipment, and testing instrumentation.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, machinery, and workstations daily.
  • Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
  • Work cross functionally with Engineering to address wiring errors .
  • Wire, solder, and crimp connectors to raw wire per documentation provided.
  • Identify and report any faulty components or hazardous conditions during the assembly process.
  • Ensure all work performed meets or exceeds quality standards.
  • Train wiring technicians to accurately wire, and troubleshoot incorrect wiring.
  • Follow all quality, environmental, health and safety programs.

Skills:

  • Electrical wiring experience required.
  • Must be able to read mechanical drawings, wiring schematics and diagrams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail orientated.
