Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Electricians/Generator Technicians for projects located in the Clinton, NJ area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $36/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Install, wire, commission, troubleshoot, and service residential and light-commercial electrical systems
- Install and service automatic standby generators, transfer switches, and associated equipment
- Perform electrical work in accordance with NEC requirements, manufacturer specifications, and applicable local codes
- Diagnose electrical and generator-related problems and determine appropriate repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance and warranty-related service on installed generator systems
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, technical specifications, and installation documentation
- Verify proper generator sizing and electrical connections based on project requirements
- Work with natural-gas and propane-powered standby generator systems
- Assist with generator start-up, testing, commissioning, and customer orientation
- Identify code, installation, or equipment issues and communicate findings to management and customers
- Maintain accurate service documentation and job records
- Coordinate with permitting, inspection, and project personnel as required
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous, knowledgeable customer service
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized job site
