Electrician II

Job Purpose:

Installs, repair and maintains power, lighting, communications and control systems

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Installs and maintains electrical equipment by routinely inspecting electrical systems, repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and fixtures, performing preventative maintenance services on circuits, transformers, and lighting, identifying and correcting defective or damaged electrical systems, and planning and installing wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in the buildings as needed.Maintains safe work and storage area by cleaning and organizing designated storage area, storing tools and materials, repairing or replacing old or broken tools following established procedures, and following established safety standards while using tools.

Job Specifications:Education and Experience:

Essential:

High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, G.E.D4 years electrical experienceCalifornia State certified electrician

Desirable:

Electrician Trade School CertificateApprenticeship from an accredited school
