ERG is seeking an electrician with mid- to senior-level experience to provide maintenance and demand services support of all electrical systems that support industrial and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate must be motivated and have the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This position will be full time at the Naval Support Facility Indian Head and will include interaction with and support from ERG personnel at the facility, as well as from ERG's offices in Fairfax and Arlington, Virginia. Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington, D.C.; 25 miles from Alexandria, Virginia; and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, Virginia. Alternative work schedules may be considered.
Job Description:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutions
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Ensure compliance with all building and safety regulations, as well as facility policies
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to install and maintain electrical systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of activities, including work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and equipment inventory
- Order and maintain inventory of supplies and spare parts
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to perform repairs and maintenance on electrical equipment and systems
- Operate and maintain a bucket truck to complete the maintenance of cabling systems
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical school program in electrical technology or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a Journeyman license OR 8 years of experience without a Journeyman license
- Electrical personnel should have expert knowledge in lighting, power distribution, grounding and bonding, and lightning protection system requirements
- Experience managing network cabling within an energetic manufacturing environment
- Qualified installer of all media of cabling and terminations to support telecommunication systems internal and external to facilities
- Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- This position will require a pre-employment physical exam
- This position requires lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
$65,000 - $125,000 a year
