Under general supervision, responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship as a journeyman electrician performing tasks to include installation, maintenance, and servicing of electrical systems
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm
- Ability to diagnose electrical issues and to maintain, adjust, repair, and replace electrical systems and components.
- Ability to read design drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to use and read millimeters and meggers and test equipment.
- Ability to function in a multi-trade team-working environment, assisting outside the electrical trade as needed.
- Ability to work off ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops of buildings.
- Demonstrated knowledge with equipment maintenance.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
LICENSES:
- Journeyman''s license is required.
- Valid Texas driver''s license is required - must have a clear driving record.
PREFERRED:
- Commercial renovation experience.
- Commercial service work experience.
This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.

- Observes functioning of installed equipment of systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement.
- Performs skilled electrical work related to air conditioning or refrigeration.
- Provide material take off for jobs and assists in preparing job cost estimates.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
