Electrician

Duties

• Estimates material needs and prepares requisitions as required for various jobs.
• Constructs, maintains, and repair overhead and underground power lines; install conduits, wires, pull boxes, plugs, lights, switchboards, controllers and switches; repairs, replaces and anchors light bulbs and fluorescent light fixtures.
• Maintains lighting and power system.
• Installs electrical systems and wiring in county buildings and on county property.
• Locates and repairs defects including short circuit and other sources of power failure.
• Tests, locates and repairs trouble in electrical circuits and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, or GED, and four (4) years experience as an electrician with two (2) years experience with physical plants.
• Possession of a valid electricians certificate.
• License required or must obtain license within 12-month period.

Terms of Employment

• This is a non-exempt position.
• This is an At-Will employment position.
