Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Electrician to support the electrical systems of a commercial facility that includes laboratory and office space. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operation. The ideal candidate is experienced in commercial environments and comfortable working in a facility that supports technical and laboratory operations.
-Responsibilities
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems throughout the facility
Install, repair, and replace wiring, lighting fixtures, panels, and electrical components
Support electrical systems ranging from 480V to medium voltages
Support electrical needs for office spaces, laboratories, and facility equipment
Diagnose electrical issues and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, electrical codes, and company policies
Coordinate with facilities, maintenance teams, and contractors as needed
Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance activities
-Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience working with 480V and medium voltage systems
2+ years of commercial electrical experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of backup generators
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints
Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations
Ability to work independently in a facility maintenance environment

Experience working in laboratory, research, or technical facilities
Experience with building automation systems or control systems
Experience performing preventative maintenance in commercial buildings
