Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 5 months (with potential for extension)
  • Pay Rate: $35.00 $37.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM, with potential for some overtime
  • Conversion Potential: Yes potential to convert to full-time employment; estimated FTE salary range $80,000 $90,000/year

Job Summary

As a CBRE Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, which is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
  • Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
  • Daily check-in, assigned preventive maintenance tasks, and scheduled maintenance tasks.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school diploma or completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred
  • Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes
  • Valid Driver's license required
  • OSHA 10 certification highly preferred
  • Electrician's license highly preferred

Required Experience

  • 5 years of related experience
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3 4 years of job-related experience (per role requirements)

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • This is a new worksite; currently working in office trailers
  • Some independent work and some teamwork
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
  • Overtime expected
  • Background package: CBRE Safety Specific with drug screen (Eli Lilly)
