Pay Rate: $26.96 per hour

Health & Welfare: $4.96 per hour

About the Role 

The Maintenance Electrician performs skilled electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility electrical systems in support of mission-critical operations at USAG Miami. Duties include demand maintenance, preventive maintenance, and emergency response to ensure safe, reliable, and code-compliant electrical systems.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three (3) years of journey-level experience performing maintenance electrician work on industrial, commercial, or institutional facilities, or completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent vocational/technical training program. Each year of accredited college education in a related.
• Valid State Journeyman Electrician license and demonstrated knowledge of national and local electrical codes.
• Demonstrated experience performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70/70E, lockout/tagout, and electrical safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation, proficient in the use of standard electrical test equipment.
• Ability to work in occupied, mission-critical facilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (interim clearance required prior to start).
• Ability to obtain and maintain installation access credentials and background clearance, as required for DoD facilities.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record, in accordance with company policy.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.). Outside work in winter, summer, rain, sleet, and snow and on uneven terrain – side hills and slopes.  
• Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
• Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
