As an Electrician with Spectrum AC, you will perform residential new construction electrical work, service, maintenance, and repairs, while also supporting light to moderate commercial projects. This role includes wiring homes, panel installations and change-outs, electrical support for HVAC systems, water heaters, lighting, and both low- and high-voltage systems.
You will work independently on assigned jobs while ensuring all work meets NEC requirements, local codes, safety standards, and company expectations.
Perform new construction wiring for residential homes, including rough-in and trim-out
Install, upgrade, and replace electrical panels and service equipment
Install and wire water heaters and related electrical components
Support HVAC electrical needs, including disconnects, whips, and equipment hookups
Perform commercial electrical work during long disconnects and shutdowns
Install and service lighting, switches, receptacles, and controls
Work with both low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems
Diagnose electrical issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications
Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and manufacturer requirements
Track materials, complete job documentation, and maintain daily job logs
Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams
Safely operate company vehicles and maintain tools and equipment
Assist with training or oversight of apprentices or helpers as assigned
Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
Experience with new construction wiring and panel upgrades preferred
Experience supporting HVAC electrical systems preferred
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
